Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced product manager to work on the management products that control the NGINX instances deployed by our customers. This is a complex role, managing several products across all stages of the product lifecycle: new offers, in-life products, and sustaining. It requires balancing the needs of the business and existing customers and helping them to migrate to our latest solutions.
This role will be co-located with the NGINX engineering team in India.
This position will
Be an expert of the products under management, communicating directly with customers to understand their needs and recommend solutions. Understand the represent the entire product portfolio.
Collaborate on strategic opportunities and deals with Product Management, Product Marketing, Global Architects and F5 Field
Manage the effective transition of products from in-life to end-of-life, through multiple stages of support.
Work with customer-facing teams and internal teams to drive and communicate the end-of-life process at each stage.
Work proactively with engineering teams on product design to balance customer needs with implementation effort and risk and ensure that all requirements are met.
Write the product requirements and collaborate on developing user stories with engineering.
Respond to critical bugs and security vulnerabilities, managing the scope of the solution and leading the process for shipping new releases.
Monitor and measure the usage of each product, providing key metrics to stakeholders.

Desirable skills, experience and qualifications
Effective stakeholder management with a talent for leading with influence, and a preference for achieving consensus in decision making.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Solid understanding of modern application architectures, web applications and APIs, including HTTP/S protocols.
Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, microservices and related environments, and cloud-native ecosystem with DevOps toolsets.
Experience with automation tools such as scripting (Bash, Python), Ansible playbooks or other native CI/CD tooling.
Understanding of application security needs and technologies: WAF, WAAP, authN/Z solutions.
Experience of API Management products is highly desirable.
Affinity for the roles of DevOps, application developers, and cloud architects.
Proven track record as a Product Manager with a deep understanding of the discipline of product management.
Minimum 6-years of experience as a product manager or Agile product owner.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering. Graduate degree in science, engineering or business is a plus. Or equivalent qualifications/experience.
