Visa and its subsidiary companies have Identity, Authorization and Fraud data in multiple systems built and acquired over the years. These rich datasets when appropriately mined via Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, will provide network-agnostic tools to improve authorization rates for our merchants and partners in the ecosystem. Identity Graph brings these internal datasets & relevant external data together to build a holistic 360-degree view of all the individuals who interact with the ecosystem and empower multiple use cases in the identity-enabled fraud detection space. This role will focus on defining and executing the product strategy for Visa’s Identity Graph, working with a globally distributed team to do so.
The Product Manager will play a critical role is defining the roadmap, strategy, and vision for Identity Graph. They will work directly with engineering, design and other Visa product teams to define requirements for the product that meet the product vision and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly come up to speed on the data available within Visa and externally and be able to think critically and strategically about how to bring it together in way that empowers a holistic view of the individuals. They will be required to work directly with technical teams, business teams, and partners, therefore should be comfortable adapting their communication style appropriately for their audience. They will need to influence stakeholders without direct authority to execute their product strategy. They will be responsible for developing data driven analyses to drive the product vision and strategy. The product manager may also participate as a Visa representative to industry standard organizations, participating in working groups to help define industry best practices or specifications. This role requires a variety of skillsets across strategy, product management, product analytics, delivery, and operations.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of data engineers to explore internal and external data for Visa’s Identity Graph
• Define data exploration strategies to drive product requirements
• Define the right set of metrics that needs to be tracked for product health
• Lead the analytical thinking how can Identity Graph add value to various use cases and simulate the results
• Work with stakeholders across various geographical regions, Visa product teams, and functions (e.g. design, legal) to define requirements and prioritize features
• Manage and coordinate technology development and integration with internal engineering teams and external partners/vendors
• Provide subject matter expertise for internal, client, and partner sales efforts
• Collaborate with fellow product managers to develop business case and revenue forecasts for your product
• Understand the industry landscape, competitors, regulatory requirements that impact your product
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
•8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Leadership: Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team of product managers and product analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment, with the ability to align team goals with organizational objectives.
•Agile Methodology: Strong understanding and implementation of Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban, experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies.
•Experience with Graph databases and graph algorithms.
•Coding and Technical Skills: Proficient in writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality code.
•Data Science and API Development: Understand data preprocessing, feature engineering, and handling large-scale datasets. Know the basics of real-time AI applications and designing RESTful APIs.
•AI Compliance & Guardrails: Understand AI compliance frameworks and best practices for ethical AI usage. Be familiar with implementing guardrails to ensure responsible AI deployment.
•Project Management: Experience leading complex projects from inception to completion, with demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement across projects with a development team, experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•Communications Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
•Innovation: A passion for innovation and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest advancements in Generative AI.
•Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for making data-driven decisions.
•5 or more years of work experience as a people leader managing product teams.
•Hands-on experience in programming languages and software development, deployment, release management, testing, automation.
