Join the team in defining and maintaining Taxonomy & Meta Data for Wealth Management, collaborating with business experts to translate needs into data models, and developing scalable processes to ensure accurate and current application of business terms and concepts.
As a Product Management Associate in the Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the Taxonomy & Meta Data that supports content capture, storage, and search capabilities across Document & Content Management systems. You will collaborate closely with business Subject Matter Experts to understand Wealth Management's needs and translate these requirements into a data model that accommodates both common and exceptional use cases for systemic data extraction and integration. Additionally, you will develop and implement repeatable, scalable, and flexible processes to enhance Taxonomy & Meta Data definitions, ensuring that the Line of Business terms, conditions, and concepts are accurately and consistently applied and remain up-to-date over time.
Job responsibilities:
- Leverage technology and analytics skills to apply basic to intermediate data analysis practices that benefit Business and Tech strategic initiatives.
- Define intermediate to advanced data profiling, metadata documentation, data lineage, and data transformation rules to support key program deliverables.
- Lead or assist in creating, implementing, and enforcing a taxonomy and metadata inventory that satisfies Wealth Management needs across LOBs/geographies, aligning with best practices and standards.
- Meet data management needs of internal and external clients according to established data model standards, including problem research/resolution and customer education.
- Perform data impact analyses with project teams, support strategic model solutions, and participate in user acceptance and production validation testing of Taxonomy enhancements.
- Identify new opportunities to optimize content delivery, partner with product and tech teams for content digitization and client self-service, and ensure taxonomy and metadata attributes are client/user-focused.
- Partner with content creators and users across the organization, lead the taxonomy governance cross-functional working team, manage the new request queue, and communicate with stakeholders to promote adoption.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Bring over 5 years of experience in knowledge management, designing and implementing taxonomies/ontologies, and managing medium to large size projects.
- Thorough knowledge of tools and software for data extraction and analysis, including database software applications, financial modeling tools, and data modeling tools, along with working knowledge of database design patterns and strategy.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as content clustering and classification, and demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal interactions and communication, effectively presenting complex technical and metadata information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business, with familiarity in Asset & Wealth Management businesses, systems, tools, and processes.
- Working knowledge of Tableau, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence, and Alteryx, along with a basic understanding of XML, JSON, and Python.
- Strong communication skills for business term and definition creation and categorization, and demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and diagnose complex data issues.
