Ltd.,Site : Chennai Engineering Centre, Chennai, IndiaTitle of Position : ProductDesign EngineerDepartment : Product DevelopmentReports To : ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY:To support the CS Global Product Development teams in product design and development.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:Responsible for product design and development using NX software.Responsible for project planning and executions.To ensure the project quality as per the standardsTo meet the delivery deadlines.EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) -Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in the Connector / Automotive / Complex plastic / sheet metal Product Design and Development.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:·Good knowledge in product concept development / end to end product developmentGood skills in product design using NX software.Good skills in detailed plastic component design and design calculations, tolerance stack upGood skills in detailed Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack upGood knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal)Good knowledge in DFM & DFAUnderstanding of DRBFM and DFMEAJudgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification resultsGood knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawingsGood knowledge in stamping and injection moulding processes.PERSONALITY TRAITS:Planning and Co-ordinationCommunication skillsQuick learning skills & InnovativeTeam workPro-active and multi- taskingTraits we seekA good communicator, open for challenges, explores full potential to achieve goals.Team player who actively collaborate and contribute to achieve the team goals.
