As a Product Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking's Market Data Services team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Market Data Services is the centralized cross-business team responsible for all aspects of market data delivery globally, providing value for scale through the provision of end-to-end solutions across the firm. The Desktop Product team are responsible for managing approximately ~ 190 third party off the shelf market data desktop applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv EIKON, FactSet, QUICK) and plays an important role as a Product Owner which includes Applications Ownership, software package and deployment.
Job responsibilities - Perform daily operational management of market data environment, capacity management and problem resolution activities
- Be responsible for the efficient resolution of issues to minimize impact to clients including liaising with / coordination of end users, team members, management, vendors, etc.
- Plan, schedule, test, implement, and document the change activities without impacting / conflicting with other activities
- Identify and implement areas for improvement within existing operational and technical processes and maintain related documentation
- Coordinate plan, build and testing activities
- Maintain documentation in-line with best practice to ensure knowledge accessibility and continuous learning within team
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Grow and mentor the existing team, partner with global leadership to grow the required skillsets
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Familiarity with supporting applications on windows virtual desktop infrastructure
- Basic understanding with networking concepts, e.g., TCP/IP, ICMP, UDP
- Strong analysis skills and knowledge of Project Management concepts and tools
- Strong market data knowledge and experience dealing with the intricacies of vendors and exchanges
- Strong production management skill (change management, incident management)
- Strong knowledge of trading (buy/sell sides)
- Experience with vendor software
- Ability to work in a team environment and partner with business, development, operate and applications teams globally
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Experience of coding with Scripting language such as PowerShell, VBScript (2+ years)
- Experience of working in financial services company (3+ years)
- Experience of business process improvement
- Fluent in Japanese (written and speaking) is a must
- Previous experience of using monitoring / forensic tools
- Network security method and architecture
- Knowledge of Open Bloomberg, Eikon, Factset etc.
