Main Purpose:
Responsible for the sourcing & procurement operations for raw materials for Ice Cream business. The role will involve handling of procurement operations of oils and market materials.
Lead the overall relationship, strategy, and conversion cost negotiation for all 3rd party collaborative manufacturing sites across ICD Category.
This is a techno-commercial role, involving the understanding of the supplier landscape in the areas mentioned above to tap the market at the right instance to extract value. Supplier operations will involve liaising with Factory and Supply Chain to ensure timely creation of contracts, material connectivity and ensure 100% OTIF.
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery of sourcing strategy, implementation through contracting and negotiations.
Co-ordination with global buyers for strategic buying and keeping track of raw material covers.
Interaction with internal stake holders like brand, supply planner & factories for material coverage
Lead relationship with current as well as potential 3rd party manufacturers promoters; Partner closely internally with the SC Make teams (GMO’s, 3P FM, SUIT Team) as well as Finance teams (3P Cell, SCF, Category Finance teams) to help land SC make targets for 3rd party manufacturing units.
Delivery of conversion cost reduction in line with Make Target framework. Deliver sub-contracting cost savings target from cost savings projects
Identify and optimize working capital cycle for 3rd party manufacturers and evaluate cash extension opportunities
Leverage conversion cost at best possible rates with key inputs on Market information and analysis of price trends
Lead key projects for implementation across all the manufacturing units with close coordination and alignment with cross functional teams like SC, R&D, Taxation and Legal
Manage conversion cost forecasting process and providing monthly provisions to the 3P cell
Market intelligence and competitor analysis via primary (siter visits) and secondary sources (internet, publications, supplier/competition P&L analysis).
Support business case preparation via compilation of inputs related to Make or Buy analysis, business structuring and local regulations
Simplification and Harmonization of costing models
Cost Modelling, Forecasting and Claim Approval through an online tool
Validate negotiate and clear off all pending claims and get Nil Claim Certificate from all the units on a quarterly basis
Timely provisions to be made and informed to 3P Cell
Contracting framework and Agreement Signoffs
Estimation of Costs for Business Case for New Project/ New SKU.
Work out RDI Costs for Restructuring of units
Negotiations with suppliers on Restructuring cost of plant, manpower and machineries.
Forecasting on QTRLY Basis, by gathering market insights (power & manpower increases)
Driving Sustainability, Cost, Cash, Service, Quality targets.
Drive complexity reduction program with R&D team and reduction of raw materials as per targets
Identification of vendors for new raw materials. Induction / Onboarding of new vendors as per responsible sourcing & statutory compliance requirements.
Responsible to manage all initiatives associated with the quality and safety.
Execution & Reporting of all cost-effective programs – Lead 5S initiatives, saving projects and NMCI mitigation
Responsible Sourcing: Coordination with suppliers to ensure compliance within RPP framework and RM packaging compliance.

Experienced Required:
ESSENTIAL
At least 7-8 years solid experience in Finance/Procurement/Supply chain operations
Good buying, negotiation, and contracting skills
Good understanding of sustainability, circular economy, and processing technologies
Financial acumen to understand the complete forecasting process
Proficient in usage of Ms-Excel / PowerPoint/SAP.
Travel:
