We are searching for a Procurement Engineer to join our team in SMR-Assembly Centre, Hinjewadi Pune.
The role
The person in this position will–
release Purchase Orders and Material follow -up to ensure the smooth inflow of raw material required for production plan.
Also responsible for allied activities related to Purchase Function and required to Perform the above job
Areas of responsibility: -
Follow the documented processes and required documentation for the activities to be performed.
To send forecast to the suppliers for the materials required for production as per the plan.
Timely releasing of Purchase Order.
Follow-up with suppliers and arrange the materials on time for achieving the Production Targets.
Processing of Supplier payments with the support of finance & Ware house team
Coordinate for Logistics arrangement of Local & Import material
Maintain Import ordering status file and take action, where required.
Update and communicate daily updated status on progress of material availability for the monthly plan.
Maintain ON Time Delivery performance of suppliers and take corrective action to meet the target.
Work closely with Supplier development engineer & Supplier Quality engineer for quality performance of the suppliers.
Prepare MIS for ON Time Delivery performance of suppliers and any other report required by Management.
To ensure safe work practices according to Global EHS Standards of Sandvik
Review the Open PO list and communicate to suppliers as per the decided frequency
As required, Releasing of project orders related to Product transfer and maintains its tracking file.
Timely disposal of rejected/rework materials, work closely with Warehouse & Quality Team
Raising of debit note on supplier for any rejection/rework.
Work towards achieving the Organizational & Individual KPI'
Your profile
Education / Experience
B.E/ Diploma (Mechanical/Production) with additional qualification in Materials Management
Minimum working experience of around 4 years in Purchase Function of Heavy Engineering Industry/ Construction Equipment or Project Based Company.
