We are seeking a dedicated and experienced finance professional to join our team as the ITP Process Expert-Vendor Reconciliation at the Smith and Nephew Service Center. Reporting to the ITP Team Manager, taking full ownership of the Vendor Reconciliation function, ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
What will you be doing?
Vendor reconciliation is pivotal in ensuring accurate payments under invoice to pay services.
Manage the Vendor Reconciliation process for assigned regions, establishing strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Act as a central point of contact for suppliers and stakeholders, fostering regular communication and building mutually beneficial partnerships to improve supplier satisfaction.
Maintain accurate financial records by liaising with vendors, stakeholders, and other functions to resolve outstanding issues and reconcile ITP records with vendor statements.
Develop standardized reconciliation procedures, timelines, frequencies, and implement robust exception Management processes and workflows for efficient resolution and clear comms.
Generate and analyze reports to gain insights into vendor payment patterns, outstanding issues, and reconciliation trends.
Use data-driven decisions to identify process improvement opportunities, negotiate with vendors, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
Partner with approved external vendors to support the Audit Recovery Activity, providing data support and validating results.
Regularly measure and monitor KPI's related to Vendor Reconciliation, track progress, evaluate implemented initiatives, and align strategies with overall goals and objectives.
Engage in continuous improvement of Vendor Reconciliation process.
Contribute to cost control and financial management by establishing better controls within the process, identifying billing discrepancies, expediting actions, and proactively preventing late payments.
Ensure the team prepares and updates process manuals and SOPs, following the S&N Annual Review cycle, and highlight exceptions for further improvement opportunities.
Strengthen controls and risk management practices within the Vendor Reconciliation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, enhancing data security measures, and establishing strong internal controls for financial integrity.
Handle aged open debit balances and open and aging accruals, implementing management plans and clear actions to address items over 60 days.
What will you need to be Successful?
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting/MBA finance
Min 5-8 years of relevant ITP experience and strong understanding of E2E ITP.
SAP ERP, MS Dynamics, AX2012 and Ariba experience is strongly desired
Expert with handling AP Process and other allied processes of AP.
Ability to think creatively and act operationally within the teams without impacting the business.
Showing a proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Strong attention to detail focusing on quality and accuracy along with having an analytical mind set.
Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment with commitment to deliverables.
Excellent English communications skills written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross business environment.
Flexible to work in multiple shifts basis the requirement and exigencies.
