Vacancy: Process and Manufacturing Technology Lead Engineer
Location: Mumbai, India

As the Process and Manufacturing Technology Lead Engineer you will serve as a resource in supporting current and future needs and capabilities across all CT Manufacturing sites.  They will complete manufacturing capability and processes assessments with the aim of continual improvement in capabilities that drive product reliability and sustainability into the future.  The role works closely with the Manufacturing Sites and R&D product teams to efficiently support delivery of new products, new capabilities, cost savings, and sustainability goals.  This role will initiate improvement projects across CT for existing processes and champion the development of the CT manufacturing process flowsheets of the future.

Your responsibilities:
•     Develops expertise in Operations equipment, capabilities, and processes across all CT Manufacturing sites, supporting product production.
•     Identifies gaps and opportunities for improvement through new equipment technologies or modifications to existing processes.
•    Collaborates with the Process and Manufacturing Technology Manager to deliver strategic improvement initiatives and scale-up trials, including at 3rd party tolling organizations.
•     Bridges Manufacturing and R&D teams to ensure quality, new product introductions, and capability enhancements are delivered effectively.
•     Supports CAPEX project development, ensuring technical and financial justifications are sound, and works with Local and Group Engineering teams for smooth implementation.
•     Leads or contributes to PIM and NPI projects, collaborates with JMTC Manufacturing Science, and ensures best technology practices are shared across sites.


Requirements for the role:
•    Degree in an Engineering-related discipline or relevant experience in Process Engineering.
•    Extensive experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, with strong involvement in business and manufacturing support projects.
•    Good experience in solids handling and understanding of key concepts related to design of equipment’s for conveying, mixing, granulating, calcining and tableting of solids
•    Good experience in Leading projects through all phases from concept to commercialization (including commissioning) Strong and demonstrated people and technical project management experience
•    Experience in developing technology with external technology suppliers / vendors or technical evaluation of their technologies
•    Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation and controls devices, equipment, and systems
