Job Description

We are seeking a privacy analyst to join the LSEG Global Privacy Office, whose responsibility will be to support the operations of the privacy compliance programme related matters, including handling the data subject access requests, general queries and global and regional projects.


The focus will be on the evolving privacy and data protection landscape to support its businesses which operate across 190 countries. In this role, you’ll be assisting a global business on analysing and resolving sophisticated privacy related issues, helping to build a strong compliance programme, and advancing our business as we drive progress for the entire financial community. Responsibilities / Accountabilities:


  • This role reports to the Privacy Rights Manager, who has a reporting line to the Global Privacy Office (Compliance)
  • The role is to cultivate privacy and data protection within LSEG, develop, implement, support and guide on our global Privacy Programme, globally.
  • Handle the privacy rights requests received including acknowledging the request, verifying the requestor, collating, reviewing, redacting the information to be submitted as part of the request.
  • Handling and maintain the privacy related applications such as One Trust and other relevant databases.
  • Handling the updating of privacy documents and templates, and making changes to them as required.
  • Update and maintain the Privacy SharePoint site to ensure the business have the relevant and up to date artifact to help them handle privacy risk successfully.
  • Produce the monthly dashboards and other documents required for reporting
  • Assist the Privacy Office to build a data orientated Centre of Excellence to focus on specialist areas including high-end data analytics/insights, data innovation capability, data and service sourcing, education and talent development
  • Work in partnership with colleagues to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Assist with reviewing and responding to enquiries received in the privacy in-boxes, both internal and external
  • Assist with the on-going management and up-dating existing GDPR Article 30 Records of Processing Activities on One Trust privacy management tool
  • Support business teams and legal colleagues with privacy issues
  • Assist with internal process changes sought at improving the Privacy function
  • Assist in driving the training agenda, planning and delivery in support of the broader Privacy Programme
  • Participate on the development and execution of both functional and operational strategy.
  • Arranging privacy committee meetings, preparing and circulating committee papers and taking minutes
  • Provide support to the wider team as required as part of project delivery and related matters

Key Relationships:


The Global Privacy Office is within the Legal & Compliance team and you will be working closely with the rest of the wider team and across the businesses,


Essential Skills/Experience Required:


  • Good understanding of privacy and data protection laws
  • Ability to implement compliance and privacy operationalization tasks and help develop governance practices and processes across the business
  • Work reliably in a sophisticated and developing environment with multiple priorities
  • Working independently as well as a member of the wider team
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral
  • Project management experience desirable
  • Use of OneTrust desirable but not vital
  • Experience in preparing and delivering impactful presentations using common tools such as PowerPoint and Excel desirable.

  • Organised and time management skills.
  • Operational aspects of data protection including privacy practices such as handling data subject’s requests.

Education/ Certifications:


  • Experience in privacy and data protection.
  • Awareness of data protection regulation, law, and practices. In particular, an understanding of the GDPR and UK GDPR.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP desirable.
