This role supports Systems Integration by defining, designing, and developing complex systems for conditions related to the central nervous system, incorporating electronic circuits, wireless communication, and consumer/medical technologies.Job DescriptionResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned• Systems Integration : Design and implement automation solutions, integrating them with existing systems for seamless operation. Develop best practices and continuous improvements in engineering workflows.• Project Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive successful automation projects, ensuring effective execution and alignment with project goals.• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship within project teams, leading system integration planning and addressing technical challenges.• Process Optimization: Analyze and identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, advancing system testing capabilities for diverse use cases. • Verification and Validation: Support system-level Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage and compliance with user needs and regulatory standards.• Customer and Vendor Interaction: Act as a primary contact for projects, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and influencing decision-making as needed.• Documentation and Training: Develop detailed documentation for automation systems, including design specs and user guides. Conduct training sessions to enhance team proficiency with automation tools and processes.• Risk Management: Perform risk analyses, including FMEA and Hazard Analysis, to mitigate potential issues and ensure system safety and effectiveness.• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve product issues during development and post-launch, providing support to customers and clients.Required knowledge and experienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related field).Experience: 14+ years of professional experience in technical engineering, with expertise in System level Testing.Skills: Strong understanding of system integration, data analysis, industry standards.Proven leadership, with a track record of translating user needs into formal requirements.Experience with implantable medical systems and neuromodulation products.Familiarity with integrating complex systems, including biomedical devices and information systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting firmware and hardware issues, and experience with automated test systems and software/test scripts.Knowledge of regulatory standards and experience in regulated environmentsPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
