The Role


As a Principal Structural Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….


  • Develop and analyze structural designs for marine structures such as offshore platforms, ships, submarines, and coastal infrastructure.
  • Perform detailed structural calculations, simulations, and evaluations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including environmental and safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards in marine environments.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design documentation, and engineering drawings.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.
  • Provide technical support during construction, installation, and maintenance phases.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify structural performance and resolve any issues.
  • Stay current with advancements in marine structural engineering and integrate new technologies and methodologies into project designs.
  • Participate in research initiatives to develop innovative solutions for complex marine engineering challenges.

About You


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • 18+ years of experience in marine structural engineering, including experience with offshore structures and marine environments.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ANSYS, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and structural design codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
