Job Summary:


The Principal Solution Architect - Software is a strategic role responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that align with the business goals and technical requirements of the organization. This position leads the architecture of software systems, drives innovation through technology adoption, and ensures the delivery of scalable and maintainable software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Software Solution Architecture:


  • Lead the design of software architectures that address business needs, performance requirements, and align with industry best practices.
  • Define the software architecture strategy and technical roadmaps in line with the organization's objectives.
  • Ensure that all software solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to software engineering standards.

Technical Leadership:


  • Provide guidance and mentorship to software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead technical reviews to ensure high-quality design, code, and architecture principles are followed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide the software development process and ensure timely delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:


  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, goals, and challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment with the organization's software strategy.
  • Communicate complex software concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Innovation & Best Practices:


  • Stay current with emerging software technologies, trends, and industry standards.
  • Promote the adoption of innovative technologies that drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of software development tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

Integration & Scalability:


  • Design and implement software solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and third-party platforms.
  • Ensure software solutions are designed for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Address technical challenges related to software integration, data migration, and system interoperability.

Governance & Standards:


  • Establish and enforce software architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and architectural principles.
  • Implement governance processes to ensure software solutions meet security and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience:


  • 10+ years of experience in software development, software architecture, and solution design.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-level software solutions.
  • Extensive experience with software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD) and full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and development frameworks.
  • Expertise in software architecture patterns, microservices, API design, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex software challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Leadership: Capable of leading software development teams and influencing technology direction at the organizational level.
  • Communication: Excellent ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: High proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software architecture issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple software projects simultaneously.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering or related field.
  • Certifications in software architecture or cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience in DevOps culture and tools for automated deployment and software delivery.
