The Public cloud market has been growing at a rapid rate for the last few years and as more enterprises use public cloud, there is a critical need for creative engineers to help develop software to prevent cyberthreats within the cloud environment. In this role, you will develop security disciplines to solve real-world problems and critical cybersecurity challenges.
You love to code and build exceptional products, and you bring new ideas in all facets of software development. You are someone who is highly technical, understands cloud technologies, and understands the complex world of cloud eco-systems and integrations. You love solving challenges for our customers in complex environments, and you aren’t deterred by the fact that much of this technology just has not been done before. Your Impact
Responsible for software development including, debugging, development, deployment, and support of Palo Alto Prisma cloud services
Work consists of troubleshooting and debugging with Linux containers and Serverless workloads
Proactive in debugging, troubleshooting issues and driving issue resolution
Cover broad span of ownership from web application development to kernel module hacking
Proactive to engage with the Cross Scrum teams, Support teams and other stakeholders
Working on cutting-edge technologies, potential candidates should be quick learner, must have the skills to master any new technology and become productive in a short time frame
Develop a strong understanding and be able to articulate complex issues clearly and decompose them into achievable solutions
Collaborate with fellow SW engineers, effectively communicating your needs and understanding theirs and addressing external and internal shareholder product challenges.
Your Experience
9+ years for Masters, or demonstrated ability designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
Expert in at least one high-level language such as Java, practical experience in design, implementation, and production deployment of distributed systems using microservices architecture and APIs using common frameworks like Spring Boot (Java), etc.
Practical experience working in a cloud environment: , AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Have experience working with at least one of the database technologies - MySQL, Redis, or PostgreSQL.
Deep understanding of data structures, and algorithms, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
You enjoy a fast-paced and Customer facing work environment with a sense of urgency.
Experience in building web applications, REST API and microservices
Experience with implementing application level monitoring on full stack
Experience with large scale application troubleshooting and performance tuning
Knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test driven development
Verbal and written communication skills to work with multi-functional groups

We help the customers in their transitional journey to the cloud by ensuring they have the best in class protection. The cloud market has been growing at a rapid rate for the last few years. As more and more enterprises use public cloud, there is an insatiable demand for securing workloads in the public cloud. With our recent acquisition of Prisma Public Cloud, formerly RedLock™ and Evident.io making Palo Alto Networks the reigning market leader.
