Autodesk is seeking a Principal Software Engineer at Bengaluru to join the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) team within the Enterprise Systems and Experience organization. This software engineering team delivers employee experience platforms and products that enrich and improve the overall Autodesk employee experience

Responsibilities
- The team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work with existing full-stack development teams in their journey towards becoming a world-class, transformational engineering team. In this role you will:
- Lead and guide an autonomous, agile-based development practice delivering value at high velocity
- Play a crucial role in architecting solutions that enhance the employee experience, requiring a deep understanding of both current and emerging technologies
- Hands-on responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering high-value applications with strong emphasis on cloud-based and AI-powered solutions
- Creating and enforcing engineering standards and practices, ensuring that team adheres to high-quality development principles
- Promoting a culture of metrics-based analysis and decision-making within the team
- Collaborate and coordinate across teams to ensure reliable, scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions
- Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions by actively participating in quality assurance efforts
- Working closely with stakeholders and product teams, requiring excellent collaborative skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across globally distributed teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor (preferably Masters) in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience as a full-stack engineer developing and testing both frontend and backend
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture
- Experience with web technology stacks (React, Next, Core Web Vitals)
- Hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) services such as SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, etc
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience such as being an architect or tech lead for high impact projects, comfortable defining technical solution
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- An innovative and collaborative approach with a commitment to engaging with engineers and AI Center of Excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deciding when to use architectural, integration and software design patterns
- A team-player, self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic with a result-focused passion to deliver an overall solution
- Experience in mentoring peer engineers
