The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of SCADA software projects. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and ensuring alignment with client requirements. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in Project Management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time.Your Impact
  • Effective Project Management to ensure on time execution of the project keeping margins intact.
  • Help DGM to extend the capability described above to support projects and other technical and support functions throughout the rest of the world.
  • Build organization capability in the project management team. This includes staffing and succession planning, employee goals setting, job performance evaluation, employee development and employee motivation and communication. Problems are identified and addressed appropriately. Proactively manage and develop all direct reports.
  • Drive good cultural, organizational and technical / procedural alignment between DGM US and DGM India .
  • Devise, measure, and track key performance metrics for the team and individual that relate directly to the goals of the department, team, and company.
  • Ensure appropriate plans to achieve all project milestones, quality gates and dates of interest are on schedule. Proactively identify, mitigate, and elevate, where required, issues / risks to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure appropriate Project Management procedures are in place for effective project execution.
  • Drafting RFP for procurement of required components (Hardware, 3rd party Softwares etc.) and negotiate the best offer from vendors.
  • Ensure client escalations are addressed appropriately and risks during the project are mitigated efficiently.
  • Ensure appropriate processes exist and are followed for the effective implementation of customer projects including thorough management of the change control process.
  • Facilitate effective project closures, a smooth transition to the Customer Support team and commencement of the warranty services.
  • Solicit customer feedback and lessons learned on every closed project and report to senior management.
  • Participate in Business Development and Contract Development activities as needed.
  • Handle contractual risks effectively.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor of Science/ B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in the Industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of Project Management, project scheduling, vendor management and customer satisfaction.
  • Effective employee management and exceptional leadership skills.
  • Strategic abilities to reach corporate goals by developing concise tactical plans.
  • Ability to create and document a plan.
  • Ability to organize work in a way that supports effective prioritization, completion, and corporate visibility.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent common sense and business savvy professional.
  • Knowledge of electrical utility operations and capabilities and use of SCADA or EMS or DMS products.
