As a part of the role, the Principal Officer will:Execute sales and business development plans & initiatives for the Gift City business. Be responsible for business development and strategy, including development and management of client KPIs, marketing/promotional campaigns, and client retention. Develop and manage relationships with clients and prospects.What are the ongoing responsibilities of the incumbent in this role?Lead the overall sales strategy and business operations for the Gift City business of Franklin Templeton.Identify and execute opportunities to significantly impact the company's revenue and deliver financial targets.Keep abreast of and analyse competitor strategies.Develop contact strategies to generate new business opportunities and act as a senior client contact.Develop and maintain strategic relationships with senior leaders at targeted companies and institutional accounts to generate sales.Develop, maintain, and enhance key internal relationships and networks across functions/teams within Franklin Templeton.Communicate the business/financial climate and decisions/prioritization to the team.Represent the brand when engaging with client and distributor management.In partnership with legal/compliance teams, ensure compliance controls and corporate governance procedures are implemented.What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?Master's degree or equivalent (preferred).18+ years’ experience (including 5+ years of management experience) in mutual fund/ wealth management industry.Possess thorough business management knowledge to implement processes, products, or services, and technical expertise to apply functional/process knowledge to diverse issues.High knowledge and understanding of financial markets.Entrepreneurial mindset who desires to help grow the Gift City business of Franklin Templeton.Must possess strong leadership, good judgement, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.Effective communication and presentation skills.Strong negotiating and influencing skills.High on perseverance and patience.
