In this vital role you will be working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers supporting Veeva – Vault Clinical Operations and Clinical Data to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.Take ownership of complex software programs/projects from conception to deployment in CTMME product team for Veeva – Vault Clinical systemsHandle software delivery scope, risk, and timeline Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working codeProvide technical guidance and mentorship to developersChip in to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technologyDevelop innovative solution using generative AI technologiesConduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practicesCreate and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operationsStay updated with the latest trends and advancementsWork closely with product team, business team, and other key customersDesign, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancementsAnalyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specificationsDevelop and implement integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the softwareWork on designing and maintaining integrations between Veeva – Vault Clinical and other software applications and platforms including other Veeva solutions to ensure seamless data flow across the organizationDesign and implement systems and processes to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of applicationsDevelop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track system health, performance, and availabilityRespond to and resolve incidents promptly, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measuresImplement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and other threatsWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Principal IS Architect is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions in Clinical Trial Management, Monitoring, & Engagement (CTMME) product team that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field ORMaster’s degree and 8 to 10 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field ORBachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field ORDiploma and 14 to 18 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related fieldExperience with Veeva Clinical platform, including Veeva Clinical Operations vault and Clinical Data vaultStrong knowledge of information systems and network technologiesStrong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and ScrumExperience with version control systems like GitStrong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript preferred or other programming languagesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with software DevOps CI/CD tools, such Git, Jenkins, Linux, and Shell ScriptExperience working in an agile environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, etc.)Professional Certifications:ITIL (preferred)Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Teams (preferred)Veeva Vault platform (preferred)Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work successfully with global, remote teamsHigh degree of initiative and self-motivationAbility to handle multiple priorities successfullyTeam-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goalsStrong presentation and public speaking skillsWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
