The Principal Engineer - Productivity will play a crucial role in enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication, and boosting overall productivity within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Exchange Online Management


  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Exchange Online environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.


  • Oversee mailbox migrations, hybrid configurations, and integration with on-premises systems.


  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and operational best practices.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mail flow, mailbox performance, and user access.


  • Develop and maintain Exchange Online policies, including DLP, MFA, and Retention Policies.


2. Proofpoint Administration


  • Manage and optimize Proofpoint Email Security Gateway, including configuration of email filtering, threat protection, and encryption features.


  • Monitor and respond to email security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.


  • Regularly review and update security policies, rules, and configurations to align with emerging threats and compliance requirements.


  • Conduct threat analysis and develop strategies to mitigate risks proactively.


3. Collaboration & Leadership


  • Lead projects for migrations, upgrades, and integrations within the email and messaging ecosystem.


  • Partner with cybersecurity, IT operations, and application teams to improve overall security posture and email reliability.


  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and operations staff.


  • Prepare and deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfer sessions.


4. Monitoring & Reporting


  • Implement and manage monitoring tools for Exchange Online and Proofpoint to ensure system health and performance.


  • Generate periodic reports on email performance, utilization, and security metrics.


  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and user experience.


5. Strategic Initiatives


  • Drive innovation in email and security technologies to align with organizational goals.


  • Evaluate and recommend tools, systems, and solutions for enhanced productivity and protection.


  • Participate in audits and ensure adherence to industry compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).


Required qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.


  • 10 to 14 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, MFA, and Microsoft Exchange Online management.


  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Office applications.


  • Proven experience in implementing and managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.


  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.


  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.


  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, or similar, are a plus.
