Join us.Job DescriptionSenior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for teamProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertiseDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by othersParticipates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverablesDevelops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projectsUses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E packagePerforms quality control review of design calculations or drawingsPrepares technical specification sectionsProvides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirementsLeads complex electrical design projects from conception to completionMentors and guides junior engineers in electrical design principles and best practicesCollaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplinesDevelops and implements innovative electrical design solutions to improve efficiency and performanceEnsures compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulationsConducts feasibility studies and risk assessments for new electrical design projectsRepresents the company in client meetings and industry conferences to discuss electrical engineering solutionsQualificationsMaster of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organisation (e.g., Institution of Electrical Engineers, UK)Healthcare design experience requiredOverall 13+ years of work experience is preferredDemonstrated expertise in electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systemsProficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and electrical design toolsStrong knowledge of relevant British and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., BS 7671, IEC standards)Experience in managing large-scale, complex electrical engineering projectsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to develop innovative electrical design solutionsStrong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide junior engineers and cross-functional teamsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiencesExperience in preparing detailed technical specifications and reportsFamiliarity with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient electrical systemsKnowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in electrical designAbility to perform electrical load calculations and conduct power system studiesAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
