JOB TITLE: Principal Designer - Instrumentation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guide and lead the overall design, modeling and drafting activities for projects depending upon the complexity and size, carry out FEED and /or Proposal work estimates, procurement support activities, support for fabrication and construction requirements.
- Shall perform as Lead Designer with block building and fabrication yard experience.
- Should be able to read and understand the specification and European regulations and shall be able to implement those regulations during the project execution.
- Extensive layout and 3D modeling experience, able to coordinate complete inputs for layout.
- Develop the initial bill of material; prepare technical layouts and drawings for proposal estimation.
- Review the Technical Document Register (TDR), evaluate number of required drawings and establish design and drafting requirements.
- Review the Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Review Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings, Instrument Specifications, Equipment Specifications, Pipe Specifications, Instrument Index, Instrument Design Basis, and other relevant documents.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BE / B. Tech/ Diploma/ ITI (Instrumentation or similar) from a reputed institution with more than 7 years of experience in 3D modeling.
- 15+ years of EPC Industry experience (min. 4 years of Onshore / offshore industry experience).
