Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Data Solutions Development:


    • Understand core business objectives and build end-to-end data-centric solutions to address them.
    • Lead or participate in defining, executing, and communicating ETL strategies and technical solutions.
    • Develop data staging, architecture, and consuming internal and external application interfaces.
  • Collaboration and Compliance:


    • Cooperate with business and operational users, other data management staff, and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to client and company guidelines, restrictions, and requirements, as well as industry standards.
    • Participate in the full lifecycle of agile projects, from ideation through implementation.
  • Technical Solution Design:


    • Design technical solutions and consumption patterns for business requirements with increasing complexity.

Technical Skills:


Category-wise:


  • Cloud Services and Data Platforms:


    • Experience with AWS data services (AWS Glue, EMR, Redshift)
    • Extensive experience with Teradata and Cloudera Hadoop
  • ETL and Big Data Technologies:


    • Proficiency in Ab Initio tools (GDE, Express-IT, Control Center, Meta programming)
    • Experience in building end-to-end solutions with Big Data platforms, Spark, or Scala programming
    • Solid experience in ETL pipeline building with Spark or Scala programming framework
  • Database and Scripting:


    • Experience with Oracle SQL database programming, SQL performance tuning, and relational model analysis
    • Good knowledge in developing UNIX scripts, SQL/PL-SQL, and Autosys JIL Scripts
  • BI and Analytics Tools:


    • Proficient with BI/Big Data/DW/ETL technologies such as Teradata, Hadoop, Tableau, SAS, Apache Spark, Hive
    • Knowledge of Kafka (MKS) Topics, producers, consumers, Kafka Connect, and Flink real-time data processing (desired)

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Developing and implementing data-centric solutions to meet business objectives
  • Leading and participating in the definition and execution of ETL strategies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to adhere to guidelines and industry standards
  • Participating in agile project lifecycles from ideation through implementation
  • Designing technical solutions and consumption patterns for complex business requirements

Qualifications and Experience:


  • AWS certifications related to data services or solutions architecture
  • 10-18 years of experience in design, architecture, or development in Analytics and Data Warehousing
  • Extensive experience with Enterprise Ab Initio, AWS Glue, and other BI/Big Data/DW/ETL technologies (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop, Tableau, SAS, AWS-native data services)
  • 5 years of solid experience with Ab Initio, ETL pipeline building, Spark or Scala programming, and knowledge of UNIX Shell Script, SQL/PL-SQL, Kafka
  • Experience with Big Data platforms and AWS cloud platform for ETL development
  • Prior experience in the banking domain/financial services
  • Experience in CI/CD and test automation

  • Ability to work in an Agile development process
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
