Job Description - Pricing ManagerPosition Summary:

The Pricing Manager will analyze pricing data, develop reports, and provide actionable insights to support strategic pricing decisions. This role would report to the Senior Pricing manager and be responsible for driving pricing strategy and execution in the company.


This role combines analytical and operational work to implement an end-to-end pricing strategy. It will work closely with product management, IT, finance, channel sales, and operations to establish pricing models, metrics, and monitoring techniques that align with business strategies.


Successful members of this team collaborate effectively to optimize prices for new launches and existing product portfolios, implement new operational solutions and methodologies, and deliver against business goals. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who seeks to solve real-world pricing problems with little direction or supervision. 


The ideal candidate is a well-rounded and resourceful top performer who understands how to drive initiatives across the finish line in a timely and professional manner in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, evaluate, and implement pricing strategies and models based on business, competition, and market dynamics.
  2. Oversee system implementation of pricing strategies and measure their success.
  3. Partner with Field Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Finance to position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
  4. Calculate and report impact dollars from price moves and price optimizations.
  5. Create, automate, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau to visualize pricing performance and related metrics. 
  6. Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources, including Salesforce and internal databases.
  7. Ensure pricing data's accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all platforms.
  8. Help design and do impact analysis of periodic promotions and rebate programs on selected products.
Qualifications & Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of pricing dynamics, and proficiency in Tableau, Salesforce, and SQL tools.


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. An MBA is a strong plus.


Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Expertise in Tableau for building interactive dashboards and visualizing data.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Snowflake and their reporting features.
  • Strong Proficiency in M365 (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in strategic management consulting, product management, finance, pricing, or other quantitative analysis fields for a software company.
  • End-to-end experience working with and analyzing large datasets and business intelligence tools for business problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to present results of complex analyses and interface with cross-functional teams at all levels of seniority.
  • Solid business acumen; understanding of pricing strategies, revenue management, and business analytics is highly desirable.
