Post/ Job Title Post - Doctoral Fellow Job Purpose To provide research support to ongoing
health economics and
health systems research at IIMB. A cluster of projects in the primary healthcare arena requires research synthesis, analysis of secondary data, overseeing primary data collection, and generate research papers, reports, and collaboration across a multi-institute consortium. The position would involve both fieldwork (including travel) and desk research and involves some engaging in active projects and supporting research grant proposal development.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities - Support in preparing proposal documents, field tools, IRB application, carrying out primary data collection as well as desk-based research work
- Draft a comprehensive final report summarizing the research project, methodology, findings, and recommendations.
- Develop engaging case studies highlighting specific aspects of the research project and their real-world applications.
- Prepare research grant applications, and research papers for submission to academic journals, tailoring content for a scholarly audience.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through presentations, workshops, and publications.
- Support the writing and editing of project deliverables, including reports, articles, and presentations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification and Personal Profile - The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in Economics/ Public Policy/ Public Health / Demography or other social science allied fields with a demonstrate focus in Health Policy and Systems.
- Candidate should have been awarded the doctorate degree in either 2023 or 2024.
Other Skill and Ability Requirements - Writing skills: Expertise in research proposal development, IRB application, survey tools, field work, technical writing, translating complex information into clear and concise language for diverse audiences.
- Ability to tailor writing style for different deliverables (reports, case studies, research papers). or public policy of infrastructure projects.
- Communication skills: They require excellent written as well as verbal communication skills for effective presentation of both technical and non-technical information.
- Quantitative skills: the applicant must have strong quantitative analysis skills. The candidate must be comfortable with modern regression techniques and be able to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
- Qualitative skills: Ability to collect and analyze qualitative data will be an added advantage.
- Positive attitude, detail orientation and ability to interact with a diverse set of stakeholders, including the senior leadership at collaborating institutions.
