Job Description


Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:


The Portfolio Officer is responsible for providing oversight on the demand and portfolio processes, training and supporting IT Business Partners, Domain Leads and the participants of the xFT.


Reporting to the Domain Lead for Portfolio Management, the Portfolio Officer supports the process and tools to establish and maintain an accurate, transparent and predictable portfolio of new IT demands and running projects, that are prioritized in cooperation with business stakeholders, to be delivered on time, in full, within budget, with materialized benefits and to the required quality standards by the IT team. The Portfolio Officer demonstrates a mindset of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned from completed demands, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and practices.


*) xFT – ‘cross-functional’ teams per IT domain, where IT Business Partner, Architecture and Delivery together are responsible for managing the IT portfolio and roadmap, resulting in innovative end-to-end solutions that drive business value


Responsibilities:


• Support of the demand and portfolio management process (including improvements, documentation, measuring & monitoring compliance)


• On-board, train and support demand managers (Business Partners and Domain Leads) and the Domain Lead Portfolio Management


• Verify demands are complete and ready for sign-off by the Portfolio Board


• Maintain appropriate KPIs, dashboards and reporting for entire Portfolio with views available at different levels of detail


• Support the Domain Lead Portfolio Management and xFTs and provide relevant reporting


• PPM key user for Demand and Portfolio management


• Support relevant tools to enabling Agile/Dev/DevOps methodologies, under the guidance of the Domain Lead Portfolio Management


• Translate strategy and management decisions into practical guidelines, coordinating activities and being the focal point for IT stakeholders on portfolio related questions at an operational level


Job Requirements:


• Proven experience in portfolio management


• Strong understanding of portfolio management principles, especially lean and agile with the corresponding methodologies, tools and best practices


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Solid financial management skills


• Proficiency in relevant software and systems


• Continuous Improvement Mindset.
