The PSD (Platform Screen Door) Engineer is a key person of the Rail Signalling Project team, managing design activities with PSD sub-contractor and interface with customer and key stakeholders ( System, Sub-system, Civil, Rail Operator, Project and Supply Chain). In this position, you will report hierarchically to Signalling System- Metier.
Technical contact point between the customer and project stakeholder and the PSD supplier
PSD expertise for Tender & Project
Produce the Technical part of the suppliers RFQ for tender and projects
Completely Responsible to manage Subcontractor to ensure QCD of PSD subsystem (Design/Factory Acceptance Test/Installation/Commissioning)
Coordinate the integration test between the supplier and project team
Control the full coverage and validation of the subsystem requirement
Flexible to travel during project for meetings/site activities
Support project and site operation compliant with Environment Health & Safety (EHS) requirement
Ensure project plan compliant with both internal and external Quality requirement
Manage Development for Quality (DFQ) plan with project, Supply chain and Quality team
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Educational requirements
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Technical Knowledge / Experience
Specialised in systems inter-operability with minimum 4-7 years-experience in PSD systems and interfaces within transportation systems for tender/project
Good experience in PSD integration with other subsystems (Mechanical, Electrical, Communication)
2 years or above experience for Subcontractor management.
Negotiation skills, Effective and Interpersonal communication, Conflict Management
Finance and business acumen to understand the project comprehensively
Competencies & Skills
Fluent in English, and fluent in contract language
Knowledge of system engineering methodology (MBSE)
Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
Knowledge of PSD supplier panel and ability to challenge the supplier solutions for a global optimization
Knowledge of PSD standard
