As a Platform Modernization Business Analysis Vice President in our Wealth Management team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our internal partners, including Client Service, Advisors, Operations, Technology, Product, Business Management, Legal, Risk, and Compliance, as part of the Platform Modernization Program team. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing international business in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Job responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that the new Target Operating Model aligns with organizational goals and addresses current process challenges.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including Core Delivery Leads (CDLs), Operations, and Technology teams, to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with business analysts and product owners to refine and prioritize user stories, ensuring they accurately reflect business needs and are ready for development.
- Develop a comprehensive test plan that outlines testing strategies, objectives, and timelines. Coordinate testing activities across teams to ensure thorough validation of the new processes and systems.
- Track and manage defects identified during testing, collaborating with development and operations teams to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Implement change management strategies to facilitate the transition to the new Target Operating Model, including organizing training sessions and creating user documentation to support end-users.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the new processes and systems. Monitor performance post-implementation to ensure objectives are met and identify areas for improvement
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Possess extensive operations experience in functions such as trade support, settlements, asset servicing or cash with a minimum of 12 years in a reputable bank, fund administrator, or financial institution across multiple jurisdictions. The candidate should be eager to embrace new challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment. Proven expertise in asset servicing, particularly in corporate actions management across various products like securities, mutual funds, and alternatives, is essential.
- Demonstrate a successful track record in implementing or integrating core banking systems, whether internally developed or sourced from third-party vendors. The candidate should have a deep understanding of trading products, including equities, bonds, foreign exchange, and listed options, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the front-to-back operations process, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills in strategic change management and process re-engineering, particularly in technology-driven projects. The candidate should have the ability to build and influence relationships with colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners. Industry experience and networking with peers are crucial, along with a consultative approach to understanding and anticipating business partner needs.
- Be a highly motivated individual with strong people management, problem-solving, and transformation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are required
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- A bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or other postgraduate degree being a plus. At least 15 years of experience in financial services, operations, or management in investment banking wealth management is preferred, with securities operations experience being advantageous.
- Knowledge of automation tools and AI/ML understanding as an added advantage.
