Platform Engineer- BI

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. 

Accountabilities

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

To be successful as a "Platform Engineer- BI", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of SAP BO architecture, deployment strategies for higher availability

  
  

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects platform (e.g., BI Platform, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Analysis for OLAP/Office).

  
  

• Develop custom Java applications and scripts to extend SAP BO functionality.

  
  

• Integrate SAP BO with other enterprise systems using Java APIs and SDKs.

  
  

• Create and maintain custom web applications for reporting and data analysis.

  
  

• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve SAP BO related issues.

  
  

• Writing efficient, reusable, and testable code in Python

  
  

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, to design and implement software features

  
  

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• At least 4+ years work experience across, in SAP BO Admin including Java, in any Python web framework, like Django, Flask, or Pyramid

  
  

• Experience with PowerBI Administration will be an added advantage.

  
  

• Deep understanding of multi-process (define, design, and create) cloud architecture projects and the threading limitations of Python

  
  

• Experience in Agile software development

  
  

• Familiarity with ORM libraries

  
  

• Knowledge of popular Python libraries and frameworks

  
  

• Ability to test and debug tools

  
  

• Experience in OOP/functional coding

  
  

• Professional certifications in similar area will be added advantage but not mandatory.

  
  

This role will be based out of Pune.
