Plant Head - Ujjain

Overview This position will act as plant lead and will be responsible to drive the site, which is compliant on PepsiCo quality standards, is legally insulated in safe and in cost effective manner. This positions is expected to drive Operational Excellence through promotion of innovation, productivity and sustainability while complying with all the relevant governmental and corporate regulatory requirements thus delivering safe and quality products to our customers. As plant is considered a cost center, it is always an expectation to keep the manufacturing overheads lower while meeting the volume targets and beating inflation. The overall plant management and decision making is to be done in consultation and liaison with PGCS India Leadership team as well as PGCS Support centre. This position will also act as legal face for plant, representing in front of local and central government. The job holder is responsible to ensure that all this is achieved through capable team in a dynamic and fulfilling work environment promoting respect and growth through learning both internal and external Responsibilities Business Ensure that production targets are delivered while achieving quality and cost standards. Deliver on the plant AOP targets Formulate and execute growth strategy and plans. Ensure availability of and efficient allocation / utilization of resources for the business. Ensure optimized and efficient use of plant assets. Ensure highest level of product security all the time and in line with PGCS and PepsiCo Global Security requirements. Ensure safety and environment friendliness remains a high priority for the team at all times. Ensure all Legal & statutory compliances are timely complied & corrected in case of any deviations. Fully endorse and sustain successful adaption of PGCS mandates and strategies at the plant level. Achieve and sustain compliance with all Plant and Corporate Food Safety Guidelines. Maintain a strong and focused control environment at the plant across all processes, in line with GCS guidelines. Review self assessment gaps on controls at site and drive the closure of remedian plan. Ensure adequate resources and training are in place to drive the effectiveness of controls at site. Ensure delivery of all plant related KPIs including sustainability and resource conservation. Ensure 100% implementation of any and all systems and programs rolled out by PepsiCo and / or PGCS Support identification of needs and allocation of necessary budgets for capital investments necessary to enhance performance or achieve compliance with internal / external standards as and where needed followed by effective execution and successful implementation of all identified projects in time and within budget . Ensure timely delivery of new products including NCB’s as per IBU initiatives. Responsible to maintain harmonious relations with local community, government departments & other regulatory bodies Responsible to maintain healty ELR scenario at the site. People Clarify roles, set performance standards and goals for the site Guide reporting staff around core work to support their learning and growth. Demonstrate leadership role to develop plant personnel into a high performance team. Role model PepsiCo Values, Code of Conduct and The PepsiCo Way spirit to create a motivating and rewarding work environment. Effectively co-ordinate with all peers at other plants / PGCS locations to ensure a sustainable team environment Work with all the plant functional heads to maintain a strong Organization Health across the facility. Continue personal development through sustained focus on performance enhancement. Qualifications Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline from a Premier Institute. 10+ years experience with mid to large size mfg organizations.
