Key Responsibilities:

Plant Operations Management:
- Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Ensure optimal use of plant resources to meet production targets, cost controls, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across the plant.

Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse workforce including production teams, supervisors, and engineers.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Production Planning & Execution:
- Drive production planning and control in alignment with customer demand, ensuring on-time delivery of gear box shafts.
- Monitor production performance, address bottlenecks, and resolve issues to maintain smooth operations.

Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and lead initiatives to meet and exceed customer quality requirements.
- Implement robust quality assurance systems to minimize defects and improve product reliability.

Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing:
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Implement and sustain cost-saving projects to improve overall profitability.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Implement best practices to reduce incidents and improve workplace safety culture.

Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage and optimize supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery of raw materials.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and parts to avoid production downtime.

Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring operational costs are in line with financial goals.
- Oversee cost control initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or safety.

Stakeholder Management:
- Interface with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, and suppliers.
- Provide regular updates and reports on plant performance, addressing challenges and opportunities.

Technology & Innovation:
- Identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to improve plant efficiency and competitiveness.
- Drive digitalization initiatives where applicable (e.g., Industry 4.0, automation).
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in an automotive component manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in production management, process optimization, lean manufacturing, and quality systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and engagement.
- Excellent knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations (IATF 16949, ISO).
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and a continuous improvement mindset
