Job Description

Role purpose - Manage & Plan core manufacturing engineering data related to facility & layout flows, value stream mapping, FTF management and flow simulations. Lead & implement the site budget and 5-year strategy plan under the guidance of ME Manager. 
Should have working knowledge of time & motion study and CAD system.


Key responsibilities


Strategic Planning


Use strategic planning systems and protocols to support others.


Data-driven Product and Service Improvement


Support data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for product/service improvement.


Innovation Strategy, Pipeline and Roadmap


Identify pain points, roadblocks, and pitfalls in the innovation pipeline and ways to overcome them.


Cost Price Calculation


Produce accurate analyses on cost price and/or project data for others by collecting information from a variety of standard sources and inputting the data into standard formats.


Feasibility Studies


Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.


Improvement/Innovation


Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.


Data Collection and Analysis


Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.


Stakeholder Engagement


Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.

Works with full competence to create, analyze and monitor budgets in line with organizational and project/program criteria; identify trends and forecasts.  Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.


Financial analysis


Applies concepts of knowledge / skill and requires guidance but not constant supervision


Computer-Aided Design (CAD)


Works with full competence to perform computer-aided design (CAD).  Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.


Equipment Utilization


Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on optimizing the utilization of production plant, equipment and materials.


Measure Solution Performance


Works with full competence to identify appropriate measures for assessing solution performance and limitations, validate with key stakeholders, and collect appropriate performance measures to assess overall solution performance to recommend specific actions to increase solution value. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.


Workflow Management


Works at an advanced level to orient work in a workflow to plan, organize, and execute the steps it takes to achieve a goal to achieve higher efficiencies.  Typically works independently and provides guidance.


Education


Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level


Experience


Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive  job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level.  (Over 6 years to 10 years )
