The Role


As a Piping Material Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.


  • Must have knowledge of Piping Design Codes and standards (like ASME B 31.3, B 31.12, ASTM, API, ASME, BS, MSS-SP, NACE, etc.)
  • Shall be able to perform Piping Engineering Calculations as per ASME 31.3 (like Pipe wall thickness calcs., branch reinforcement pad calculations, Hydrotest, Mitre bend, bolt length calculations, etc.)
  • Should have extensive expertise in developing Piping material specifications for the materials like CS, LTCS, SS, DSS, Cladded/Lined piping, Alloy 625/825, Hastelloy, Non-metallic (GRE, HDPE), etc.
  • Should have expertise in developing Valve datasheets, SP Item datasheets & Piping Specifications.
  • Shall be able to handle MR’s, TBE’s, PR’s & VDR for Piping items.
  • Shall be able to prepare Valve MTO, Piping SP List based on P&ID’s.
  • Shall be able to handle ‘Line List’ parameters.
  • Shall be able to co-ordinate effectively with other Disciplines, Vendors, Lead offices & Clients.
  • Knowledge of software’s like ERM, SPMAT, SPRD, Aconex, MMS, etc. will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Pipeline design codes ASME B31.4 & B31.8 would be added advantage.

About You 


To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:


  • A degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering with at least 1-10 years’ experience in major oil/gas projects.
  • Good communication & reporting skill.
