The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
At Solventum, we are committed to delivering seamless, high-quality product experiences across all digital platforms. We are looking for a PIM Systems Tech Specialist (PIM System Administrator) with expertise in Akeneo to manage, configure, and optimize our Product Information Management (PIM) system. This role will also involve ensuring smooth integration with eCommerce platforms, external channel partners for data syndication, and overseeing product data health reporting to ensure data quality and consistency.
The Impact You’ll Make in This Role
As a PIM Systems Administrator, you will:
· Manage and configure the Akeneo PIM system, ensuring that product data is accurate, consistent, and accessible across various platforms.
· Oversee and improve product data health reporting, building and maintaining tools or dashboards to monitor the quality, consistency, and completeness of product data.
· Configure and manage data models, attributes, and product categories in Akeneo to align with business needs and ensure data integrity.
· Develop and manage workflows within Akeneo to streamline product data management processes and improve overall efficiency.
· Integrate the PIM system with other platforms (eCommerce, ERP, CMS) to synchronize product data and enable seamless distribution.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Akeneo system and integrations, ensuring continuous data accuracy and system uptime.
· Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, IT, product) to define data requirements and configure the system to meet business objectives.
· Provide ongoing support for data migration, import/export processes, and necessary transformations in product data.
· Develop custom reports or tools to track product data health metrics, identifying gaps or issues in the product information that need attention.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest Akeneo features, best practices, and industry trends to improve PIM system performance and data quality.
Skills and Expertise
To succeed in this role, you need:
· 2-3 years of experience managing Akeneo or other PIM systems, with a focus on configuration, administration, and system optimization.
· Strong experience in PIM system configuration, including data models, attributes, categories, and workflows.
· Experience developing product data health reporting tools, utilizing SQL, custom scripts, or dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
· Familiarity with data management best practices, data quality standards, and governance.
· Experience with API integrations (RESTful, SOAP) for syncing PIM systems with other platforms such as eCommerce, ERP, and CMS.
· Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation, reporting, and analysis to track product data health.
· Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integrating product data with presentation layers.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for addressing integration or system issues.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
