Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Engineering Solutions Design
Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.



Engineering Standards Specification
Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.



Improvement/Innovation
Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.



Knowledge Management System
Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
 


Project Management
Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.


Essentials:


  • Develop product specifications and design test procedures and standards.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
  • Solutions Analysis: Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of 
    productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve 
    personal performance.
  • Internal Client Relationship Management: Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Organizational Capability Building: Provide instruction and informal advice to less experienced colleagues within the team to develop their skills.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
  • Leadership and Direction: Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission, and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goal

Engineering Specification
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to produce technical engineering specifications and related materials.
Engineering Testing
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on testing, evaluating and improving engineering outcomes.
Planning and Organizing
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Provides Technical Support
Works with full competence to employ customer-oriented behaviors that help engineers connect with their customers in productive and efficient ways, creating positive, defining moments. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
Health and Safety
Manages and applies safe systems of work with guidance (but not constant supervision).
Data Control
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on acquiring, organizing, protecting and processing data to fulfill business objectives.
Troubleshoots Technical Issues
Works with full competence to employ a systematic process for solving technical issues by identifying the problem and selecting an appropriate solution. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
 


Education: Diploma or Equivalent Level.


Experience: 5 to 9 Years.
