About the position:



Petrophysics, Geomechanics and G&G Operations chapter manager will supervise practitioners in petrophysical interpretation workflows and G&G operations geomechanics analysis and modeling. Responsible for the oversight of the technical work, competency & development planning for the group members.Will need to collaborate closely with chapter managers in CTC-SS to maintain workflow alignment.The ideal candidate has both skillsets but candidates with either geomechanics or petrophysical expertise will be considered. As the organization matures, this position may potentially become more focused in one of the two disciplines. The position oversees and provides project and resource management for a wide variety of G&G operations, geomechanics and petrophysical projects from worldwide operations, ranging from pre-drill through completions for G&G operations, predrill through production-phase operations and individual well through field-scale for geomechanics and from exploration to detailed field studies for petrophysics.  The person should be experienced in multiple reservoir types, and be proficient in a wide range of geomechanics or petrophysical analysis techniques.



Key responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:


  • MS in Earth science Disciplines (Geology, Geophysics, Geomechanics) or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience in hands-on geomechanical modeling or petrophysical intepretation.


Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
