Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) OpenPages development team is searching for a skilled Performance & Resilience Specialist. Would you like to get in on the ground floor of the exciting and fast-growing field of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), and Watsonx.Gov? Would you like to work on the setting up a performance and resilience platform of the IBM OpenPages GRC product? Do you like to work with the latest and greatest SaaS cloud technologies, fine tune application performance plan based on Cloud dashboards? In this role you’ll work alongside other product teams (UI, Application Developers, Quality Engineering, DB developers, DevOps) as well as with product management and our larger clients.

What you’ll do:

• Profiling and analyzing OpenPages application performance, using jMeter and relevant tech stack
• Define test plan looking at performance dashboards in DB (Oracle and DB2), cloud tech (Prometheus, Instana, Segment and Amplitude)
• Implementing caching strategies and database optimizations for IBM Consulting Advantage
• Conducting load testing and stress analysis for ICA and its various assistants and assets
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on architecture decisions
• Developing and maintaining monitoring tools and dashboards for IBM consulting Advantage platform
• Come up with scaling strategies for various workloads running in the platform
• Innovative Database Developer who wants to work in an exciting and fast paced agile and scrum development environment
• Contribute directly to design, implementation, test, and deployment of new features, functions, and integration points
• Work closely with the product management, quality assurance, design, and operation teams
• Assist our clients with escalated Support issues

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 5- 7 years of experience in Performance Testing
• Expertise with industry-standard Load testing Jmeter, and other industry proven technology.
• Good understanding to analyze DB performance Oracle, DB2
• Exposure to review performance on cloud using services like Prometheus, Instana, Segment and Amplitude.
• Proven knowledge of Testing manual/functional testing processes, methodology, defect management and defect life cycle.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in performance engineering, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Oracle, DB2
• Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies and tools such as git, Jenkins, Travis
  • Scripting languages – Python, shell
  • Release Engineering (Branching, versioning, tagging)
  • CI/CD tooling (Jenkins)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Working efficiently, effectively, proactively across global teams is required with a focus on what is committed and prioritized to move forward the client value proposition.
• The team will have a blend of Development, DB, QA, As lead performance engineer need to interact with all stakeholders.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience on SaaS products
• Experience with Continuous Delivery techniques and tools
• Experience with Analytics and Business Intelligence tools (Cognos)
