Title:
People Advice & Resource Centre (PARC) Compensation Specialist
The Compensation & Benefits Coordinator in the India PARC will be the local contact for the Compensation and
Benefits related matter with India. The main objective is to achieve superior outcomes for both the business and
employees. Collaborating closely with the PARC team and our Finance teams, it will oversee the comp & ben functions
for India. Responsibilities include managing pre-payroll activities, overseeing employee data record management
actively contributing to the implementation of the new Workday Global payroll system. Success in this role relies on
establishing strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute all pre-payroll administrative tasks for pay cycles in FNC, P & P, and STS.
- Ensure accurate processing of starters and leavers to facilitate timely payments.
- Assist in calculating and processing termination payments, redundancies, back payments, overpayments, and superannuation.
- Aid in coordinating and implementing India employee benefits.
- Provide support for global compensation and benefits projects.
- Assist in conducting mid-year and annual salary reviews.
- Coordinate process enhancements within the compensation & benefits team to minimize duplications and streamline resource usage.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including PARC, Finance, Tax, Lines of Business, and external vendors, while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Handle employees pay queries, escalating issues as needed.
- Support the payroll team in resolving queries.
- Oversee data management in systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience range 7 to 10 years.
- Experience in India compensation and benefits offerings, as well as relevant laws
- Have participated in India comp and ben surveys
- Experience and understanding of annual pay cycles; e.g. company-wide pay increases and bonus payments!
- Experience of payroll processes for salary sacrifice schemes, including pension, cycle to work, season ticket loans, childcare vouchers, and company vehicles (desirable)
- Intermediate excel knowledge including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Good standard of competence in Microsoft packages
- Experience of managing information in databases
- Understanding of India employment law
- Previous experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and/or Workday Previous experience in payroll, finance, or banking (desirable)
