Job Title: Payments Processing Analyst, NCT


Location: Jaipur, India


Role Description


  • This is a customer documents/transaction processing role responsible for accurate and timely capturing of  various  types of  customer instructions based on the documented SOP, KOP or desktop procedures.  This includes  receiving, verifying and capturing of customer data in German Banking Applications which may be in in German or English languages.  System capturing  needs to be processed accurately  and in a time critical manner  based on documented processing SLAs and as per industry guidelines  agreed with internal and external customers/stake holders. It often involves time critical, potentially complex or in some cases regulated tasks including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In addition, the Operator should ensure that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement  within the Bank or for our clients. This position is expected provide periodic inputs to their Team Leads to take up such automation ideas with the concerned teams for updating the product guidelines or put up for system enhancement/automation with end objective of  making the  process robust, risk free and efficient.
  • Such staff may also be in direct contact with clients or internal stake holders  in relation to the processing requests received by the the Bank  as per internal guidelines received.

Your key responsibilities


  • This is German customer request processing role. Hence minimum proficiency of B2 and above is required in German language to be considered for this role.
  • Process the customer requests adhering to the documented  procedures and cut-off times and with 100% accuracy.
  • Assist the team in the day to day operations and coordinate with customers/internal stake holders for any query clarification and cascade the same to other team members transperantly.
  • Collate data regarding processing  issues and communicate the same to the line managers.
  • Carry out EOD functions  strictly as per checklists and DTPs and maintain the relevant records for audit trail.
  • Maintain a record of all the relevant changes in procedural aspects and update the same in the KOPs in discussion and agreement with line managers.
  • Ensure training of new recruits and share the knowledge at all times.
  • Create resiliency and make process non person dependent.
  • Escalate issues to supervisors and managers as per the escalation procedure.
  • Keep Team Manager advised of the exceptional occurrences and undertake suitable actions in agreement with Seniors/Managers.
  • Ensure laid down  processes and procedures are strictly followed and all exceptions are escalated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure to complete all the customer requests received in a timely manner and keep the line managed posted for any exceptions or pendency.
  • To achieve the Job objectives set within the timelines agreed.
  • Carry out the monthly departmental self assessments, based on the checklists.
  • Communicate with clients or internal stake holders  in relation to the processing requests received by the the Bank  as per internal guidelines received.

Additional Responsibilities


  • Ensure all process changes are discussed and agreed with Manager and update the same in the applicable KOPs/SOPs/DTPs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure training of new recruits and mentor them correctly
  • Carry out tests or quizzes to assess the trainees and junior staff.
  • Maintain all relevant training records.
  • Assist the manager in preparation of various team related MIS.

Your skills and experience


  • Basic  exposure to Banking systems,  back office/operations functions like static data, system set ups, charge set ups etc would be preferred.
  • Reasonable awareness and exposure to  SWIFT messaging specially MT 103 and 202, 202 COV.
  • Basic understanding of global  Payment  functions,  Payments investigation etc.
  • Reasonable analytical skills, conflict management skills, customer/stake hodler management etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and  German language with minimum B2.1 grades both in written and verbal language skills.
  • Experience in  handling any  German  banking process would be preferred.
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organizations
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the Banking operational areas.

Education/ Qualifications


  • German Language capabilities  with minimum B2.1 and above.
  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited college/University, preferably with Commerce Back ground
  • Minimum 1 year  of experience in handling German Banking related processing functions.
  • Freshers with excellent academic back grounds may be also considered.
