The PER Specialist is an important role in the effort to demonstrate value and monitor the effectiveness of our site and patient focused tactics.The PER Specialist is detailed oriented and uses effective communication and problem-solving skills.This role work closely with the Associate Director, Patient Engagement & Recruitment to support the overall business operations and value-added efforts of the PER Team.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Assists with the implementation of the engagement/recruitment plan under the direction of the Associate Director, Patient Engagement & Recruitment (PER).
  • Provides ongoing support to the overall business operations and financial management of the team with a focus on performance metrics, fund management and vendor tracking.
  • Responsible for collaborating with the PER team in conjunction with protocol-specific recruitment campaigns.  Where needed, ensures the accuracy and functionality of content on Study Connect and partners with relevant business contact and vendors.
  • Serves as PER point of contact for tracking of key workflow processes and maintains an ongoing awareness of current state activities in support of our business. May serve as a liaison between PER team and its stakeholders.
  • Maintains ongoing awareness of the Study Connect Patient Screener process and responsible for maintaining tracking of ongoing screener updates/revisions from initial notification of clinical trial through completion of recruitment.
  • Meets regularly with various members of the PER team to review role-specific content, assess performance, review key performance metrics and take corrective action, when necessary.  Also, serves as a conduit for sharing identified issues and potential mitigation.
  • Works closely with PER, Business Insights & Analytics contact, and others as needed to develop an understanding of the metric data available to monitor the effectiveness of various tactics including BMS Study Connect.
  • Demonstrates an active interest in potential improvements to our business processes and recommends/supports new opportunities to expand our toolkit.
  • Connects regularly with PER team leaders to provide updates, communication of issues and potential mitigation/resolution. Meets regularly with Strategy Implementation Lead for coaching, feedback and overall development plan.
  • Participates as a contributor to the ongoing development, maintenance and enhancement of BMS Study Connect by connecting with the broader team to obtain feedback and consider possible process improvements.

Qualifications


  • BA/BS preferred with a minimum of min 4-6 years of clinical trial experience with an awareness of recruitment, retention and/or vendor considerations.
  • Knowledge and expertise organizing and presenting financial and/or performance data
  • Basic knowledge of clinical research budgets including processing, reporting and tracking of vendor payments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ICH/GCP and regulatory guidelines/directives.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a dynamic, ever changing matrix team
  • Knowledge of the drug development process and basic principles of project planning and budget management.
  • Effective communication skills with an interest in presenting to peer group and others.
  • Solution-oriented team player who seeks creative ideas and willingly shares with the team.
