Job Description

What Does Success Look Like? We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our infrastructure. Your role will focus on:


  • Performance monitoring to proactively identify and resolve system issues.


  • Incident management and real-time troubleshooting to minimize downtime.


  • Automation and deployment management for seamless software releases.


  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.


Your expertise in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing system performance will directly enhance business continuity and customer experience.


What You’ll Do

Performance Monitoring


  • Continuously monitor infrastructure health for high-traffic, business-critical applications using PagerDuty, InfluxDB, and Graylog.


  • Develop proactive monitoring strategies to identify potential issues before they impact system uptime.


  • Respond to alerts promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and partners.


Incident Management & First Line of Defense


  • Lead real-time troubleshooting of system issues and infrastructure changes.


  • Act as an escalation point for junior engineers, providing guidance on complex technical problems.


  • Work closely with DevOps and cloud teams to prevent recurring issues.


Collaboration & Cross-Team Coordination


  • Partner with QA, Development, and DevOps teams to facilitate seamless deployments and updates.


  • Establish best practices for communication and issue resolution across teams.


  • Act as a liaison between NOC and engineering teams to drive operational efficiency.


Software Deployment & Change Management


  • Oversee and execute deployments, patches, and major software releases.


  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools to improve automation.


Downtime Minimization & System Resilience


  • Implement strategies to reduce downtime and enhance system resilience.


  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address recurring infrastructure issues.


  • Improve early detection mechanisms for potential failures and ensure proactive resolution.


Communication & Escalation Handling


  • Maintain structured communication with internal teams to ensure smooth incident resolution.


  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing.


  • Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders.


Proactive Monitoring & Technical Expertise


  • Continuously monitor systems and address performance bottlenecks.


  • Troubleshoot Linux-based environments and cloud infrastructure issues in AWS, Azure, and GCP.


  • Ensure operational continuity and safeguard critical systems for global clients.


Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing


  • Mentor and train junior NOC engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.


  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).


  • Explore new automation tools and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency.


What Makes You Qualified?
  • 2-4 years of experience in NOC, system administration, or cloud operations.


  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Graylog, and PagerDuty (preferred but optional).


  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation workflows.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


  • Experience in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis is a plus.
