Could you be the full-time OCS Design Leader (DL) in our Infrastructure organization we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll lead the OCS (Overhead Catenary System) engineering team, ensuring the excellence of basic and detailed engineering activities within the scope of flexible or rigid catenary systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering Teams, Field Operations, Support Functions), ensuring the Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance and providing valuable Return of Experience (REX) to your scope of work.
You’ll specifically take care of coordinating the OCS design team, engaging with other subsystems and transversal engineering teams, but also manage the commitments on design costings and workloads.
We’ll look to you for:
Ensuring the respect of Alstom Policies and applicable regulations and standards in the design of the OCS solution
Delivering detailed design documentation such as technical drawings, installation drawings, and bill of quantities
Producing As-built documents and coordinating design activities post on-site implementation
Managing the QCD reporting and REX of your scope of work
Adhering to management processes such as Engineering Management Plan, requirements management, and interfaces management
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices and performance measurements
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanics &/or material science
Experience or understanding of OCS within the railway industry
Knowledge of product and solution development across different market segments (Tram, Metro, Mainline)
Familiarity with 2D/3D design software
A railway certification would be advantageous
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven decision-making ability and analytical thinking
Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
Work with new security standards for rail signalling
Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
Contribute to innovative projects
Utilise our collaborative working environment
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
Progress towards leadership and advanced technical roles
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
