Junior Product Manager
Role Summary
Financial news is at the core of the LSEG Data & Feeds value proposition to clients. The News Product Team is looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to join the team. The Product Manager will play a meaningful role in bringing to bear usage data to advise product decisions and drive growth. The analysis tasks revolve around understanding user behaviours, translating that into actionable insights, and working cross-functionally to optimize product performance. This role will also lead all aspects of the social media news content in Workspace, including current relationships and any future partners.
Responsibilities
Produce regular Management Information reports and summaries to provide insights into news usage and consumption that will help advise investment decisions.
Provide adhoc reports as needed by news leadership team
Supervise the accuracy and reliability of collected data, ensuring that tracking setups are consistent and collect all relevant events
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to implement and maintain the analytics tools (Microsoft PowerBI, Amplitude, and Enterprise Data Warehouse)
Identifynew Key Performance Indicators for tracking news production, consumption, and product usage that align with the overall business and product objectives
Analyze usage patterns to understand how users interact with the product, which features are most popular, which sources are most/least popular, cost per click analysis, and identifying where users may be encounteringissues
Segment users by different attributes (e.g., demographics, behavior, job role/channels) to identify trends and make insights more actionable
Build and maintaindashboards to present key usage metrics to partners (executives, marketing, sales, etc.) and provide actionable insights
Translate sophisticated analytics into clear and concise reports for decision-makers, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Management of Social Media feed, adding content, competitor analysis
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Data Science, or an equivalent field
Experience in product management, preferably within the news or finance industry
Strong analytical abilities with experience in data analysis and interpretation
Proficiency with analytics tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, Amplitude, and Enterprise Data Warehouse
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional global teams
Ability to translate data insights into actionable product strategies
Experience with social media management and partnerships is a plus
Candidate to demonstrate they are both a great teammate and are self-motivated
