Job Description

Overview:We are looking for an expert Product Manager to work within LSEG's Network Products & Services (NPS) organisation leading the development of our network observability strategy. This is a meaningful role working alongside other Network Product Managers within our team that are running an extensive global network product portfolio covering: LAN Connectivity including our Datacentre Network Fabrics and Office Networks;Global WAN & Edge Connectivity including connections to Internet and Cloud;Customer & Markets Connectivity including Low Latency & Multicast technologies;Application Network Connectivity including Firewall, Load Balancer and DNS/ IPAM technologies. You will own and handle a product roadmap to deliver network products and services to LSEG's internal and external customers globally; including customer engagement, roadmap development, feature delivery oversight (demand fulfilment), and capacity and lifecycle management. You will lead a virtual team including colleagues from Design & Engineering, SRE Operations and Service Management to prioritise and deliver high quality network product features to meet the needs of customers.Ideally, you will have existing knowledge and experience of product led delivery within the network engineering or operations function of a large global corporate environment and excellent understanding of the observability and monitoring solutions marketplace.What you’ll be doingYou will be the Subject Matter Authority (SME) for your product area, engaging with customers to collect demand and requirements and understand business needs and expectations;Developing your product roadmap with NPS Design and Engineering colleagues to deliver prioritised product features ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met;With your understanding the network observability technology and services marketplace you will deliver technical and commercial solutions to the business that are aligned with direction of the industry;Handling the life cycles and capacity of your product areas, securing budget and aligning those into roadmaps and delivery plansDriving decisions that are risk balanced between requirement, timescales, budget, technology, commercial, customer/ business, compliance and regulatory considerations;Tracking network service performance and building service improvement into planned roadmap activities;Developing strategic plans to support funding of roadmap initiatives where required, supporting business and financial analysis of product costs;Assuring that quality and value is built into all product feature developments and releases;Working as part of our wider Network Products & Services team, helping to improve our product management approach, engagement with our customers & the quality of our networks products & services.What you’ll bringYou are an analytical problem solver, innovative and able to operate in a sophisticated technical and operational environment with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related degree.You have worked in a global technology organisation for over 10 years with a network or software engineering background, ideally in financial services with market data comms. You are familiar with DevOps and SRE enabled product methods with excellent understanding of the observability and monitoring solutions marketplace.You understand the role of a product manager (ideally PSPO trained) and will add your experience to our existing team of Product Managers. Your previous experience includes business requirements elicitation, technical product definition and roadmap development, and cost and budget planning.You are interested in network and telecommunications industry with good understanding of trends including the relevance and impact of cloud technologies;You have excellent relationship management and communications skills up to C-level with the ability to partner at business and technical levels.
