Role over view:
We’re looking for an Engineer to help us manage day to day Operations of our Centralized IT Network Operations Center (NOC). Someone who thrives on challenges and continually looks for opportunities to make things better. Comfortable in taking responsibility. Should be friendly, positive and enthusiastic at every turn.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Acknowledge and process events on time by following the Event Management Process
• Monitor the various Applications, Dashboards and Service Management queues to perform checks/ escalate issues/ report failures
• Understand all the operational processes and duly abide by them
• Identify, analyze and report issues proactively
• Timely completion of all assigned activities and responsibilities
• Join the high/critical impact bridge calls, change calls and other meetings
• Drive continual service improvements for the assigned service and process areas
• Always strive to create a non-political and non-conflicting work environment
• Meet high quality standards.
• Meet all the KPI’s and SLA
Essential Functions:
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal). Should have exposure to US and UK Culture
• 1 to3 years of Operational experience, Monitoring, ITIL framework
• Excellent documentation, presentation, analytical and multitasking skills.
• ITIL v3 Foundation basic knowledge required.
• Working knowledge of Monitoring tools like Splunk, Orion and ticketing tools like Service Now
• Knowledge of Event, Incident, Change, Problem and Configuration Management
• Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure, Windows servers, operating systems and networking
• Committed to Process Improvements and Operational Delivery by working with the NOC Management
• Inquisitiveness and strong desire to learn about the tools, technologies and procedures
• Personable, non-political and non-confrontational in approach
• Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Willing to work in shifts, weekends and holidays to support the 24/7 environment
• Willing to work outside of the business hours based on operational requirements
Qualifications:
Degree and in Science or Engineering
• B. E, B.Tech( Computers or IT)
