The Network Engineer Senior is a member of the RSM technical services group and is responsible for the strategic operational support of our data center, distributed servers, and application network. The engineer will work closely with IT management and other functional groups to design, develop, deploy, and administer the company's enterprise networks. He/she must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to work, collaborate and coordinate between technical and non-technical people within the company.


Essential Duties


  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) troubleshooting support for enterprise class network services. Lead engineering and support services for SDWAN fabric network across local and international office locations. SME for network security and high availability networks.
  • Lead the support of enterprise network technologies. Manage enterprise network monitoring systems. Support internal development team throughout development, and QA Testing process. Maintain network infrastructures and supporting technologies.
  • Develops and maintains technical standards, procedures and techniques for the resolution of network problems to ensure maximum system availability and performance levels. Provides guidance to less skilled network engineers. Participation in product evaluation, systems testing, certification and product lifecycle management. Participation in scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance. Change Management, on-call and off-hour systems support
  • Leads network infrastructure disaster recovery planning and practices. SME for network systems and infrastructure components. Troubleshooting application and system errors using various tools and methods. Participate in scheduled weekend system changes.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION


  • Professional Full-time Degree & Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.


TECHNICAL SKILLS


  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS
  • Strong knowledge of Silverpeak or equivalent SDWAN technologies
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise management of wireless infrastructures
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise management tools such as Cisco DNA Center, Solarwinds, etc.
  • Strong knowledge managing complex enterprise networks
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, switching, routing, network security
  • Strong knowledge of Windows servers and networking with Microsoft operating systems
  • CCNA, CCNP certifications would be an added advantage


EXPERIENCE


  • 7+ years of relevant experience in an IT role supporting US-based enterprise networks - Required
  • 7+ years working on Cisco IOS issues – Required
  • 7+ years working on Switching, Routing & Network Security – Required
  • 7+ years working on SDWAN & Silverpeak issues – Required
  • 7+ years working on Azure and AWS cloud networking issues - Required

  • Ability to work as a team leader to coordinate and direct activities across multiple teams – Required
  • Ability to develop solutions within a complex operational environment
  • Ability to think strategically but also focus on tactical and operational issues – Required
  • Ability to drive results and ensure work is accomplished properly, safely, and in a timely manner – Required
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adjust work priorities as needed to meet department/organizational objectives – Required
