Job Description
You will be part of our Finance team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of customer + operational excellence.
Your Role Your primary objective is to indirect tax activities across your area of responsibility, ensuring accuracy, completeness + timeliness of all relevant tax compliance tasks + processes. Your Responsibilities
- To manage local tax computation + filling processes, including maintaining tax balances on the general ledger.
- To ensure timely filing of indirect tax submissions, resolving all related queries where necessary.
- To prepare + review tax reconciliations.
- To support business by providing tax related advice on day-to-day operational activities.
- To conduct trainings in increasing awareness + knowledge of up-to-date tax compliance requirements.
- To monitor developments in tax legislation + proactively update management team about any related risks.
- Maintain robust relationships with key external stakeholders to proactively address issues regarding refund claims and represent our interests effectively.
- Navigate upcoming GST reforms with strategic foresight, aligning business strategies to regulatory changes.
- To lead + drive improvements in all tax related tasks + processes.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Have indirect tax experience and knowledge.
- Have handled GST portfolio, e.g. managing government authorities.
- Have 9 to 12 years of experience.
- Candidate with current/previous big 4 consulting firm experience would be an advantage.
- A good team manager/ leader.
