Murex Sr Reporting Specialist
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Murex Sr Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic team, specializing in reporting within the Murex platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Murex Datamart reporting, and will be responsible for overseeing project deliverables from inception to completion, ensuring they align with stakeholder specifications and are delivered on time.
Overall Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project deliverables focused on Murex Datamart reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive business requirements analysis to document and clarify project needs.
- Draft detailed specifications for reporting requirements based on stakeholder input.
- Configure and test reporting solutions, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Provide user assistance, guidance, and troubleshooting support post-implementation.
- Engage in report automation and optimization to improve efficiency and performance.
- Implement greenfield projects and manage reporting related to EOD processes.
- Conduct housekeeping activities to ensure the smooth operation of the Datamart module.
Software Requirements
- Database Technologies: SQL, Oracle, Sybase
- Scripting Languages: Java scripting, shell scripting
- Reporting Tools: Murex DataMart module
- Job Scheduling: Control-M, AutoSys
Category-wise Technical Skills
Experience
- 8-9 years of relevant work experience in Murex reporting and DataMart.
- Demonstrable experience managing comprehensive project deliverables in financial services.
- Experience with greenfield implementations and report optimization efforts.
Day-to-day Activities
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Create, test, and validate reports that fulfill business specifications.
- Utilize scripting languages to automate reporting tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of existing reports.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for users concerning reporting functionalities.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks associated with the Datamart module to maintain system usability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications in Murex or project management (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with stakeholders.
