Murex Sr Environment Specialist

• Proficiency in Murex environment management.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and databases, preferably Sybase or Oracle.
• Unix operating systems expertise.
• Experience with Shell scripting.
• Java programming skills for environment setup and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket & GIT for version control.

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of Murex environments.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of the Murex platform.
• Facilitate environment cloning, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and production teams to coordinate environment requirements.
• Implement and maintain automation tools for efficient environment management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues promptly.
• Document environment setup, configurations, and procedures.

• Database Management:
  • Administer Sybase/Oracle databases.
  • Optimize SQL queries and scripts for performance.
• Unix/Linux OS:
  • Configure and manage Unix servers.
  • Develop robust Shell scripts.
• Programming:
  • Write and debug Java code for automation.
• Version Control:
  • Manage code repositories in Bitbucket & GIT.
  • Ensure adherence to branching strategies and best practices.

• 8-9 years of hands-on experience in Murex environment management.
• Proven track record in Unix/Linux operating systems, Sybase/Oracle databases, and Shell scripting.
• Extensive experience with Java and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket & GIT for source code management.

• Monitor Murex environments to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform daily checks and balances on the platform to pre-emptively catch and fix issues.
• Liaise with various teams to coordinate and facilitate environment needs.
• Respond to and resolve environment-related tickets and service requests.
• Execute environment changes with minimal impact to ongoing operations.
• Continuously improve environment setup through automation and optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Murex, Unix/Linux, SQL, and Java are a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
