Job Description

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Murex Datamart Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Murex Datamart, focusing on the design, development, and optimization of Datamart reports and processes. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Datamart Development:


  • Design and develop Datamart reports and extractions within the Murex platform.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

System Configuration:


  • Configure Murex Datamart components to meet business requirements.
  • Customize and enhance Datamart configurations to optimize performance and functionality.

Technical Support:


  • Provide technical support for Datamart-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of Datamart reports and processes.

Project Management:


  • Participate in Datamart project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Documentation:


  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for Datamart configurations and customizations.
  • Ensure all changes and enhancements are well-documented and communicated to relevant teams.

Testing and Validation:


  • Conduct thorough testing of Datamart reports and processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Validate Datamart configurations against business requirements and compliance standards.

Training and Mentoring:


  • Provide training and mentoring to junior team members on Datamart development and best practices.
  • Share knowledge and expertise to build overall team capability.

Software Requirements:


  • Extensive experience with Murex Datamart, particularly in report development and optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Unix scripting, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data management frameworks.

Technical Skills:


  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading, risk management, and operations.
  • Ability to configure and customize Murex Datamart components.
  • Advanced skills in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Familiarity with testing and validation of Datamart configurations.

Experience:


  • Proven track record with Murex Datamart development and optimization.
  • 4+ years of experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for Datamart-related issues.
  • Previous involvement in Datamart project management and successful delivery.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Designing and developing Datamart reports and extractions.
  • Configuring and customizing Murex Datamart components.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting issues.
  • Participating in project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Conducting testing and validation of Datamart reports and processes.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Murex Datamart.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Unix scripting, and ETL tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
