The Multimedia Editor is responsible for post-production editing of video assets including internally and externally produced projects that support Communications, Marketing and Growth (CMG) team initiatives. This digital content specialist expertly tailors video, audio and graphics assets for social media, web and other digital mediums, considering digital trends and audience engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, motion graphics, and multimedia design, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal clients, external vendors, and videographers. This role is crucial in creating engaging and professional digital content for both internal and external communications.


This role works closely with the video production and webcast production teams to deliver complete video assets that serve a variety of project brief goals. The video editor may also assist with video graphics and play a role in managing raw video assets to ensure our source video footage and b-roll is current and supports an evolving brand.


General team member responsibilities: - 10%


  • Understanddigital marketing channels, marketing strategies and CMG business goals related to assigned projects
  • Manage project requests efficiently and communicate with project teams to ensure prompt delivery of draft and final assets
  • Participate in content and design team meetings as appropriate to maintain best practices and project efficiencies
  • Champion innovation and thoughtful experimentation that evolves best practice standards, collaborate with team lead to define and communicate updates to guidelines
  • ParticipatesinteammeetingswithmultimediagroupandprovidetrainingandguidanceforotherCMGteams, where appropriate

Design and editingresponsibilities: - 60%


  • Edit internally or externally produced digital videos for various business purposes, including internal communications, marketing campaigns, and external platforms such as YouTube. Ensure alignment to project storyboard, brand guidelines, and channel trends.  
  • Work closely with team members and internal clients to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions. Coordinate with external vendors and videographers to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Design and integrate graphic overlays, lower thirds, and stylized introductions to enhance video content.
  • Create compelling motion graphics to supplement recorded content and b-roll footage, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing final product.
  • Suggest additional footage or different cuts for additional use cases, as appropriate
  • Ensure all motion graphics align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Provide editing guidance to other members of the multimedia team
  • Serve as a brand champion for the firm, working collaboratively across projects to ensure brand standards and potential are met and optimized

Multimedia contentresponsibilities: 20%


  • Review and refine multimedia content to meet brand standards and project objectives.
  • Organize and manage multimedia assets, ensuring efficient workflow and accessibility for the team.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, video, graphic design, digital media or communications(preferred) or equivalent business experience

TECHNICAL/SOFTSKILLS


  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro or other similar editing and creation tools
  • Strong visual storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
  • Ability to translate concepts into visually engaging multimedia experiences
  • Thorough understanding of video codecs, audio formats, and file management
  • Experience with SharePoint, Brightcove, YouTube and requirementsforvideoonvarioussocialmediaplatforms (required)
  • Strongorganizationalandprojectmanagementskills
  • Familiarity with animation software a plus

EXPERIENCE


  • 4+yearsofexperienceinmultimedia design, motion graphics or video editing in a B2B or B2C setting
  • Portfolio of videos reflecting brand and audience alignment

  • Experiencecollaboratinginahighlymatrixedenvironment
